This video gave us an insight on how to structure our short film. It gave us an example on how the acting should be like and what would make it effective. One example was the pointless arguments which started from nothing which later led to the abuse the victim suffered.This allowed us to think about what the characters in our short film could do to provoke one another. This short film also gave us an insight into how women acted when they were inflicting the verbal and physical abuse.
Here we see the abuse from a male perspective. Domestic violence is not a comical topic but when filming/planning my short film, we wanted the audience to laugh at the male the victim as the female was insulting him, so when the ending of the short film comes we see the woman abused, we want the physical abuse implenmented on her to be very serious and to really capture the audience. We wanted to send a message explaining that domestic violence isn't funny nor morally correct.
We also did a lot of research on how to create fake bruising. This is an important aspect throughout our short film, as we have to show the brusing for both of the characters to create enphasis on the abuse they inflict on one another.
